Phasir, voiced by Ed Gilbert, is a mysterious blind magician that has connections to Mirage
History
Phasir appears frequently through the series. His first appearance is in the episode "Do the Rat Thing", but he is not named or given any background until the episode "The Prophet Motive", where he is identified as Phasir, an old seer and powerful wizard who turned his evil giant brother, Fashoom, into stone many centuries ago. The end of that episode also reveals that he actually has a single eye, but he wears bands over his one eye, which makes him appear to be just blind (it is never made clear whether he actually is blind or merely pretends to be in order to hide his eye). Later episodes, such as "Eye of the Beholder" and "While the City Snoozes" hint that Phasir has had many dealings with Mirage in the past and may have once been in love with her (he states to himself that love will one day lead Mirage back to him).
Appearances
He is an old man with long white hair and beard and grey skin. He wears grey clothing and a blindfold to hide the fact he only has one giant red eye, exposing him as a cyclops.
Personality
He acts like a wise old man due to his years of wisdom and traveling. He acts as an adviser to Aladdin and his friends.
Plot
Fasir appears in a total of six episodes of the show. He makes his first appearance in "Do the Rat Thing", but he is not named or given any background information until "The Prophet Motive". In this episode, it is revealed that Fasir only has one eye, which could be the reason he wears a bandage over it. In "Hero with a Thousand Feathers", Fasir prophets that only Iago himself can defeat an ancient evil known as Amuk Moonrah that once ruled Agrabah with the help of a magical amulet. In "The Sands of Fate", Fasir tells Aladdin and his friends about the story of the Riders of Ramond and how their fate is sealed between their mission and the marauders until Iago breaks the fate and the Riders finally deliver their crystal cargo to Fasir himself. The episodes "Eye of the Beholder" and "While the City Snoozes" show that he has had dealings with Mirage and that they were once a couple. At the end of "Eye of the Beholder," he tells himself that he and Mirage will get back together one day.
