Despite being Middle Eastern, he had much darker skin and more prominent lips. He is tall and skinny with a wrapped turban on his head.
Haroud is sardonic, cynical, and far more rational than his boss. He can also be very work-shy and seems to execute actions and plans with little effort often manipulating others to do the work (such as tricking Abis Mal into doing the things he just ordered Haroud to do). Despite his animosity for his boss, he follows his every order and takes part in nearly all of his schemes though he will usually try to run when they fail. He poses a far greater threat towards Aladdin and his friends being that he is cunning and actually uses his slight physical strength. Haroud also has a habit of finishing Abis Mal's sentences and filling the holes to his plans. And he is also known as harsh, attentive, respectful, observant, unassuming, dry, hard-headed, abrasive, zealous, irascible, bigoted, ill-tempered and no-nonsense.
- Haroud is voiced by James Avery, well known for his role as Uncle Phillip Banks (affectionately known as "Uncle Phil") from The French Prince of Bel-Air.
