Khalid was The Sultan's temporary vizier for a time after Jafar betrayed Agrabah. However Khalid was not much of an improvement, with him also being uncaring and manipulative, but more dedicated to the political affairs of state regardless of citizens suffering.

Sometime after Jafar's banishment, the Sultan tried to find a new vizier in the form of Khalid. However Khalid proved just as troublesome and was let go. Later on Genie had him turned into a frog.
