The Great Rift[]
King Zahbar was the ruler of Mesmaria but was turned into a hawk by his wife after she was corrupted by the Emerald of Khufu, and he watched sadly as his kingdom was destroyed by the Great Rift. When Aladdin stumbled upon the emerald, Zahbar took it into the sunlight to release his wife, who transformed him into a giant hawk and used him to get to Agrabah and retrieve her brothers who were trapped in the gems that Aladdin and friends took with them. He later helps Aladdin stop Queen Deluca and her brothers and when the emreald is destroyed he is returned to normal along with his wife, and the two happy to be reunited as Queen Deluca is no longer evil.
