Mena Massoud (Template:Lang-ar; born September 17, 1991[1][2]) is a Canadian actor who played Aladdin in Disney's live-action remake of [[Aladdin (film)|the 1992 animated Movie of the same name]{.[3][4][5] He has also worked in television; his roles include Jared Malik in the 2015 series Open Heart and Tarek Kassar in the Amazon series Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan.[6]
Early life and education
Massoud was born in Cairo, Egypt to Egyptian Coptic Christian parents. He was raised in Canada and grew up in Markham, Ontario,[1] where he attended St. Brother André Catholic High School.[2]
