Jafar as the most powerful sorcerer in the world.
Sorcerers (or Sorceress for females) are individuals who have learned the art of magic, spellcasting, and transmutation (or transformation). A regular person could become a sorcerer or a sorceress simply by making a wish to an all-powerful Genie (or Djinn).
Description[]
Depending on their experience, they can become very powerful or simply crafty with illusions and hypnotism. However, even the most powerful sorcerer's abilities pale in comparison to the might of a fully-empowered genie.
Overview[]
When Jafar became the most powerful magic-using human on the planet, he received a new unbreakable staff completely restored but this time empowered with the strongest magic on the planet. However, after turning into a Genie, his sorcery powers and staff vanquished in order for him to become the most powerful being in the entire universe. This wish actually generated a black lamp which imprisoned the former sorcerer and Iago, sent to the Cave of Wonders by the good-hearted Genie to endure 10.000 of inprisonment. This went fine until a thief named Abis Mal found it on a well and transported the dark lamp back to Agrabah. When Jafar was summoned, he wanted to kill Abis Mal but by the laws of Genies he could not. Instead, he tricked the wicked thief into wasting two of his wishes until the hot lava destroyed Jafar's black lamp once for all. However, his spirit was sent to the Underworld where Hades, the god of Death, governs.

The main reason why Aladdin tricked Jafar into becoming a Genie is because he knew it would trap him inside a dark lamp and undo all his wicked spells over Agrabah, Sultan Hamed, Princess Jasmine and Rajah. However, as a sorcerer, Jafar was not content in ruling the world (including Agrabah). His true goal was to become the most powerful being in the universe and govern it forever. But thanks to Aladdin's bravery and cleverness, Jafar was defeated (as an all-powerful Genie) and sealed away in a lamp of his own (alongside his pet parrot, Iago).
