Under unknown circumstances in the past, the prince and his beloved had incurred the wrath of a fiendish wizard on the Isle of Tragoon who placed a cruel curse on the young lovers. A curse which would transform the prince into a lifeless diamond statue surrounded by treasure contained in an enchanted cage that would only appear under the light of the full moon, and the prince's lover would be transformed into a vicious jackal beast under the light of the full moon, and the only way to break the curse would be for the prince's lover to kiss the prince, but the cruel wizard's curse made it impossible for the prince's lover to kiss her beloved due to her part of the curse turning her into a mindless monster whenever the full moon appeared, dooming the two to an endless cycle of suffering.
When Aladdin, Jasmine and their friends traveled to the Isle of Tragoon in search of its legendary treasure (although Jasmine believed they were going on a romantic getaway), they chanced upon the Jackal Girl and the prison of the Treasure Man. Although unaware of the nature of the curse at first, they were able to aid the two lost lovers and helped them to reunite, and with a little magical help from Genie, they were able to break the curse once and for all.
What became of the lovers after having the curse removed is uncertain, but they likely either went back to the prince's homeland or returned to Agrabah with Aladdin and Jasmine.
