The Witches of the Sand were an ancient and powerful order of one-thousand evil witches that could control sand and even tamed the Seven Deserts thousands of years ago, becoming the rulers of the desert kingdoms and of Agrabah. However, a thousand years ago under unknown circumstances the witches were destroyed with the exception of three, freeing the deserts from their tyranny.
